Tammy a registered nurse has been the Nursing Director at the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center since 1994.
The Administrative Director of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Linda has been working with Dr. Gahhos for over twenty years.
Patients following surgery are recovered in recliners by our registered nurses.
The Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center is a state-licensed and federally certified Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The surgery center is dedicated to Plastic Surgery with emphasis on patient comfort, safety and privacy. It is the only ASC in South Sarasota County exclusively dedicated to Plastic Surgery.
The ASC certification requires us to meet or exceed over 2,000 stringent standards in environmental and life safety, risk management, quality assurance and emergency management procedures set forth by the U.S. government and the State of Florida. The ambulatory surgery center licensure and certification is granted based on a strict adherence to the same applicable standards of a major hospital. Each year the ASC must undergo a series of unannounced inspections and surveys by the federal and state governments to ensure adherence to these standards.
We have not only successfully complied with these standards for over 15 years, but have set our own "standards of excellence" to exceed the accepted standards of ambulatory surgery. Since the opening of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center in 1990 over 20,000 procedures have been safely performed.
Only board certified surgeons are given privileges to perform plastic and reconstructive procedures at the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center. The nursing staff consists of Registered Nurses highly trained in operating room procedures, surgical assisting, and pre-operative and recovery room procedures. Our entire medical and nursing staff is fully certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support as an essential emergency management measure.
The operating suites are equipped with the latest innovations in medical equipment and the staff is trained in the latest technologies. Every facet of the Center is a testament to our insistence on excellence.
